The Inspiration
"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a SOUND MIND."
2 Timothy 1:7

As a native of Chicago, Illinois, I moved to Texas with my mom and older sister when I was ten years old. It was at that time that my mom’s battle with mental illness became more apparent, which drove my initial interest in becoming a counselor. This interest soon developed into a passion to help individuals, couples, families, and marriages survive and thrive through their toughest moments. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Argosy University and my Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University.

The attachments we make in life are significant but at times can be overwhelming and hard to navigate. I have worked with men and women of all ages that range from a variety of issues that include grief, depression, relationship issues, pre-natal and post-natal transitions, family conflict, separation/divorce, and the "stuck" feeling. Let's explore!

My approach is to facilitate an environment that is filled with trust, humility, and free of judgment in an effort to explore emotions and vulnerabilities that may lie below the surface. Let's face it, there is no manual on life. Let's figure this out together so that you can move beyond surving into thriving. I'm here for you when you are ready.
